My Approach to Physical Therapy

Physical therapy for infants and children is most beneficial when interventions are incorporated throughout their daily routines. During the initial evaluation, we will discuss your concerns about your child’s motor development and the goals you want your child to achieve. Findings from the clinical evaluation will guide the design of an individualized treatment plan used to achieve these goals.

I value open communication between myself and all caregivers as we work together to incorporate treatment strategies into your family’s lifestyle. I take into account how all of the body’s systems work together and the importance of optimizing your child’s alignment in order to teach them how to move most efficiently. Laying this foundation is paramount in building movement patterns that will promote symmetry and joint integrity needed for a lifetime of pain-free activity and fun.

Who Do I See For

Physical Therapy Services?

With over 20 years of experience, infants, children and teens have been referred to me for physical therapy services for countless reasons.

Some common diagnoses infants are referred to me with include prematurity, gross motor delay, torticollis, a medically complex NICU hospitalization which may have included cardiac, neurological and respiratory concerns.

I follow older children with a variety of neurological and neuromuscular diagnoses. Musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions include gait deviations, clubfoot, pectus excavatum, status-post fractures and orthopedic surgeries.

If physical therapy services have been recommended for your child, please reach out and we can discuss the intervention I can provide.
