My Approach to Yoga

Yoga can be adapted to meet the needs of children of all ages and abilities. I incorporate my knowledge as a physical therapist to ensure a safe yoga practice for all. I have taught yoga to teenage athletes, children with physical disabilities looking for a new way to move and exercise, young children undergoing treatment for acute medical diagnoses, and groups of friends looking to have fun together through yoga. Yoga can take on a variety of forms depending on your needs. Yoga can be more physical with a continuous sequence of poses, restorative while holding restful poses for several minutes, and invigorating leading children through games coordinating their movement with breathing. In the end, my hope is that everyone practicing yoga feels happier, healthier and more at peace throughout the session and beyond.
